Nageshwara Ji in Kashi
It is believed that worshiping and worshiping the Nageshwar Linga at Kashi gives benefits than performing the same puja at both the above mentioned temples. By this the devotee becomes free from all the sins committed knowingly or unknowingly. Among the deities worshiped is Nageswara which is considered to be an important Shiva Linga.
Nageshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. On an all India basis, there are two temples which are worshiped as Nageshwar Jyotirlinga. One is in Maharashtra and the other is near Dwarka. The Nageshwar temple in Varanasi is worshiped as one of the Jyotirlingas.
